Our Ice Cream Division has always been a hot favourite with people both inside and outside the organization. In India, the name VADILAL is synonymous with Ice Cream.
The Ice Cream industry in India today has a turnover of Rs.5 billion (or US$.106 million). A quarter of this comes from the house of Vadilal alone. But that's no surprise, considering that we have the largest range of Ice Creams in the country - 100 plus flavours, in a variety of over 160 packs and forms. We have cones, candy-bars, ice-lollies, small cups, big cups, family bricks, and economy packs. Something for all taste, preference and budgets.
To meet with the consumer demand, on regular basis, we Introduce new flavours for different occasions, seasons and different segments of customers on a regular basis throughout the year. Vadilal has been launching attractive consumer schemes to attract both the consumers as also to enhance brand loyalty.
We have one of the largest cold chain networks in the country comprising about 12 C&F Agents, nearly 250 Distributors and 15,000 retailers, to ensure widespread availability of our products in all our territories. The chain of C&F network has been enhanced to create more stock-points to facilitate market growth. The Packing of major products has undergone a face-lift making them attractive and eye catching. A large number of imported / indigenous deep freezers have also been placed in the market thereby enhancing the retail network.
R & D : Research and Development
Vadilal has always believed in the best of the R&D - be it for a man or machine. We have dedicated team of expert Food and Dairy Technologists, Engineers and Chemists, who work in modern microbiology labs with state of the art testing equipment. Most of our machines are imported from Denmark, Germany, Italy and USA.
It goes without saying that for a Company of our size and reputation, nothing but the best will do. For this reason, we have stringent quality norms to match international standards Random samples are taken from each manufactured batch and subjected to a host of sensitive tests.
Our Bareilly plant has since been awarded with coveted ISO 9002 accreditation and HACCP certification.
