Vadilal entered the Horticulture Processing Industry in May 1991.
Keeping in view of the tremendous export potential for processed foods, Vadilal has set up a manufacturing unit having an installed capacity of 5,400 tons per annum. With little prospect at the domestic consumption of processed foods, Vadilal has tied-up as the Indian suppliers to International mega-brand - a majority of it (about 80%) is exported to Europe, USA, Middle and Fast East and South East Asia. We are leading producers and exporters of mango pulp in the country and also export Indian vegetables to Europe in refrigerated containers.
In order to preserve freshness and enhance shelf-life, the foods are processed using IQF - Individually Quick Frozen technique. This technology has been imported from Eurotek Engineering Ltd., UK, and it involves fluidized belt-type continuous freezing.
Recently Frozen IQF vegetables in Vadilal's brand names - Garden Fresh and Quick Treat have already been introduced in US, Canada and UK markets. These products have been very well accepted.. Further a range of frozen ready to serve foods has also been introduced recently.
The domestic market also is growing exponentially. The brand equity of Vadilal as well as its expertise in managing a cold chain distribution net work, gives the project an edge over the competition. The frozen green peas and the corn of Vadilal have already captured a significant share of the market. Further, we are the regular supplier of mango pulp to giant MNCs.
It has all been worth the effort, considering that we have been awarded the ISO 9002 Certification for quality system, by M/s.Underwriters Laboratories Inc., USA. Vadilal was also awarded the certificate of merit for excellent export performance by APEDA (Agricultural and Processed Foods Export Development Authority).
Among IQF Vegetables our range includes Green Peas, Sweet Corn, Okra, Mixed Vegetables, etc. The IQF fruits range has exotic varieties of the famous Indian Mangoes - Alphonso, Kesar and Totapuri in Pulps, Slices and Cubes in addition to Strawberries, Sapota and others. Ready-to-eat foods and condiments also form a part of our formidable range.
